Traditional Chinese Frog Fastenings

The defining hallmark of this fusion creation is its hand-crafted Chinese frog fastenings — known as pānkòu — adorning the blouse and waistband. These intricate knotted closures, traditionally found on the finest qipaos and Tang-style garments, are hand-looped from coordinating silk cord and serve as both fastening and jewellery. Each knot carries centuries of Chinese craft tradition while sitting in perfect harmony with the Indian grandeur of the lehenga silhouette beneath.
